"White is a riot on stage, a bona fide crowd
pleaser. One of the most popular acts on the
circuit. He plays an audience the way Leo
Kottke plays a 12-string.

support. Jen Murdza will open this show. For ticket info

Wednesday June 4th The Gulu-Gulu Café, 56 Central Square, Lynn MA. This is a Spoken word open mike called Speak Up that takes place every Wednesday night. I will be the featured performer which means that I will be reading excerpts from my book “Memoirs of a C Student” as well as some other things I have written for about 25 minutes around 8:30. The rest of the night is an open reading where anyone can get up and read. The Gulu is an amazing place with wild art on the walls, interesting music, great sandwiches and salads, excellent coffees and teas and a fine selection of wine and European beers. If you know anyone who is interested in meeting a wide array of writers, poets, storytellers and/ or getting to share their writings please let them know about this new spoken word series. Sign up is at 7:00 open Mike at 7:30. Upcoming featured performers are Walnut - April 16th, Alicia Quintano - April 23rd, Kerry and Neal Zagarella - April 30th, Katie Green - May 7th. Info at 978 921 4628 or on line at www.gulu-gulu.com. There is another café with the same name in Salem. The open mike is at the Lynn Venue.
Saturday June 7th Steve’s Backstage Pass,
15 School Street, Taunton MA. I love playing here. The
audience can have a few drinks but still see the show in an intimate
coffee house setting. And, for those of you who are always asking
me to play the selections from my song catalog that tend to get me
uninvited back when I sing them at church basement coffee houses, this
is a place where I am quite comfortable with my not-for-church
material. Steve Toli, who runs this venue, is really doing a
great job bringing rock, blues, jazz and folk music to Taunton.
So if you live in the area check it out. Opening this show will
be Marc Duval who is an extraordinarily funny songwriter. Those
of you who know his work can just imagine how much fun we’re
going to have. Those of you who don’t will just have to
trust me. http://www.thedessertclub.com 508-824-3436
Sunday June 8th (afternoon) Private Show in York, Maine
Saturday June 14th (father’s day weekend). Bring dear old Dad out to The Union Hall Coffee House
at The First Religious Society UU Church, 27 School Street in Carlisle
MA. This is my first show at this wonderful new coffee
house. If you live in the area come on out and show your support
for these folks who are bringing great music to your corner of the
state. My son Lawren White will be opening this show. He
had his first opening set at Passim in January. It was awesome.
It’ll be a great father’s day for me.
